There was a vigil on Kings Parade, 28-30 October, where pedestrians were invited to write the names of children (with their ages) on white bedsheets which were laid out on the pavement. They listed all the children who have been killed in Gaza since October 2023. The sheets contain thousands of names. The vigil created a great deal of interest and discussion with people passing by who were truly shocked when they saw the quantity of names written down and their young ages. There were quite a few tears from complete strangers. Following on from that on Remembrance Sunday we gathered on Kings Parade again to commemorate the children in particular that have been killed during the 107 years of genocide in Palestine . Their names were read out as we marched and the banners made were unfurled with their names in the Grand Arcade.
