Eye-Witness: Stories from Israel and the West Bank (February 19th)
EVENTS
Talk by Sue Jones, human rights observer recently returned from the West Bank.
Sue Jones went to Palestine as a human rights observer last year with the EAPPI scheme (World Council of Churches Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme to Palestine and Israel).
Sue will talk about her experience there using a PowerPoint with some short video clips. She will address what daily life is like living under occupation, and what may be done to protect human rights in Israeli-occupied Palestine. She will also answer questions.
EAPPI recruits ordinary people from the UK and Ireland to live alongside communities working nonviolently against the military occupation. It is a longstanding program run by the World Council of Churches (following request by heads of churches in Jerusalem) - so do share especially with your place of worship if you attend one.
